Thomas Bormann

Founder & Principal

Thomas A. Bormann started his career in 1993 as an architect in Germany and ran his own office for several years, specializing in the renovation and alteration of existing buildings.

Thomas was trained in charcoal, pencil and ink, preparing his drawings on paper, like architects and master builders did it for over 2,500 years. But in 1997 he realized that it is time to adjust his tools to modern technology and jumped on ‘the digital wagon’: He decided to learn ArchiCAD – one of the first and most-advanced BIM applications – and implemented it in his own office.

In 2000 he moved to the USA and since then, coached and supported successfully 40+ offices in their transition to BIM.
